Who we are
Little Peeps Farm stands as our humble endeavor, nestled in the serene landscapes of Tracys Landing, Maryland. Back in 2014, my wife Valerie, our daughter Destiny, and I, disillusioned with the rush of suburban Gaithersburg life, made a pivotal decision. We exchanged the chaos of school schedules, work routines, and the constant hum of modern suburban living for the tranquility of a 13-acre homestead in the countryside.
Our vision for the homestead always included chickens, and initially, we ventured into raising rabbits and pigs, with dreams of expanding to include goats, sheep, and maybe even cows. However, the upheaval of the world in 2020, with the onset of Covid, and then the personal blow of my diagnosis with Alpha-gal Syndrome in 2021, prompted a profound shift in our plans. Suddenly, our focus shifted almost entirely to the raising of poultry, as we adapted to the challenges my diagnosis brought.
Guided by a philosophy rooted in harmony with nature and a commitment to self-reliance, Little Peeps Farm now proudly specializes in raising fully organic, Non-GMO free-range heritage breed poultry. Among our cherished breeds are Light Brahma and Buff Orpington chickens, Silver Appleyard Ducks, Coturnix quail, and Bourbon Red turkeys.
As our journey unfolds, accompanied by our five Great Danes and a German Shepherd, our mission evolves. Little Peeps Farm is dedicated to sharing the wisdom we've gleaned through our experiences, offering unique opportunities for others to partake in aspects of our journey in meaningful and engaging ways.
